Nasdaq Position Overview

Responsible for engaging with the investment community on behalf of publicly traded companies. Primary point of contact for corporate clients to help them understand how various aspects of their Company are perceived and valued in the marketplace. May create leads and partner with sales managers to articulate value proposition and core differentiators of perception practice to prospective clients. Establishes effective long-term relationships and high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers. Provides external clients with objective strategic advisory services to improve market perception and long-term competitiveness. Engages in thought leadership and provides input into product development/quality improvement. Support BU Objectives of revenue growth, operational excellence and driving greater efficiencies.

 

Responsibilites:

  • Engages in in-depth discussions with investment professionals on behalf of publicly traded companies to understand their market perception on a variety of fronts, including corporate strategy, investment proposition, use of capital, management, and investor relations, and delivers comprehensive management and Board ready reports of key findings
  • Serves as the primary contact for key customers largely based in the Americas (US, Canada, LatAm)
  • Utilizes expertise to interpret qualitative feedback and benchmarking data to draw conclusions, and to develop strategic recommendations
  • Demonstrates a firm understanding of the global capital markets by remaining current on drivers of institutional behavior and sentiment
  • Maintains awareness of the evolution of IR on a global and regional scale, including shifts in responsibilities and core challenges that call for guidance on industry standards and best practices
  • Works closely with perception team members on group projects, shares and consumes knowledge, and provides support where needed
  • Acts as an evangelist for the perception business and communicates the value proposition, differentiators, and triggers for the identification of new business opportunities, to key internal stakeholders, such as sales, commercial, marketing and service colleagues
  • Develops a broad-based network of internal strategic partners (sales, account managers, analysts etc.) to maximize growth through cross-selling opportunities
  • Advances value of existing client relationships, by recognizing shifts in companies’ corporate culture, strategy, and/or business profile and aligning project design and delivery accordingly
  • Shadows Global Head of Perception on sales pitch calls, and eventually leads exploratory calls with prospective clients as the subject matter experts
  • Assist in the development of efficiency tools and technological advancements in product development and day-to-day workflow

 

Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications

  • Education Required: Business, Finance or Economics Degree
  • Experience Required: 5-7 years
  • Special Qualifications: Proficiency in MS Office Tools – MS Outlook, Excel, MS Word, Adobe Pro, Powerpoint
  • Understanding of the practice of investor relations and/or global capital markets, particularly in Canada and U.S.
  • Experience in establishing and nurturing client relationships and senior level executives/corporates

  • Understands how products/services apply to companies in a particular industry and provides the best options for the business as requested
