Genium INET – is our state of the art trading and clearing platform and is used to power several of the largest markets around the world.

 

As part of the growth of this product offering Nasdaq is looking to recruit a couple of skilled Application Engineers to join our fantastic application management team, which is responsible for maintaining 100% system uptime for the trading environments we are operating.

 

The application management team is responsible for implementing new technical solutions. They further support the Business with operational related investigations, verifying, planning and conducting application upgrades, optimizing application performance, documentation, managing changes, business continuity planning and testing.

 

Your role you will be a part of all activities related to the applications such as handling of incoming issues, incident solving, requirements and launching of new versions and will see you acting as a specialist in operational issues, questions and requirements as well as taking part in performing recovery procedures, scheduling, backups, and monitoring batch processes.

To be considered for this role your skills will include but not be limited to;

 

  • 4 – 8 Years in a related area such as Data Center, Trading, Computer or Network Operations
  • Strong Unix/Linux skills across multiple distributions.
  • Strong skillset and experience with Java, SQL and Perl and
  • Must be flexible, hands on and able to work in a fast paced, high pressure, client-focused and collaborative environment.
  • Must be able to grasp the whole picture in order to plan, lead and coordinate colleagues in a technical environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in a high pressure environment working with network and development teams.
  • Strong work ethic in a mission-critical 24x7 diverse environment with multiple vendor/customer relationships.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a complex operating environment.
